Jean Pennycook is an educator from California, and she has been working with Dr. David Ainley for eight years during the Antarctic summer studying Adelie penguins and their habitat. On January 21, 2009, Rich Wilson was part of a phone conversation with Jean to discuss her work in Antarctica as well as his work aboard Great American III. Through the use of satellite phones, they connected with each other. The video below illustrates their conversation.
